Scope of Services:
The Customs Analyst will provide technical and analytical support for customs and trade compliance at the site/division level. This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations and trade laws, including but not limited to 19CFR, 15CFR, FDA, USDA, and other U.S. regulatory agency requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with various internal teams to support the company’s import/export activities and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory obligations.Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:Regulatory Compliance:
Apply working knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs, ensuring all activities align with relevant laws and regulations.Data Analysis:
Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for cost savings. Prepare detailed reports and make recommendations to management based on findings.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Interface with related functional areas such as logistics, purchasing, and materials management on customs matters, ensuring smooth and compliant import/export operations.Support & Reporting:
Provide analytical support for the reporting of price adjustments, royalties, and other relevant data via the CBP Reconciliation Prototype Program.Transaction Review:
Conduct timely and effective transactional reviews/audits of all import/export records to ensure compliance. Identify and elevate any issues requiring correction.Continuous Improvement:
Make recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities based on data analysis and industry best practices.Skills & Experience:Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Business, Logistics/Transportation, or a related field.Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical abilities with acute attention to detail are essential for consolidating and interpreting complex data sets.Communication:
Effective communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary for interfacing with various stakeholders and presenting findings.Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with key stakeholders.Time Management:
Proven ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
