How Will You Make An Impact
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for leading the technical aspects of advanced analytics projects that provide actionable insights for our constituents and business partners. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the full life cycle of data modeling projects, creating scalable data science solutions embedded into our application workflows.
Work with Data & Analytics (D&A) leaders and the Enterprise Architecture team to identify appropriate ML/AI tools and technologies to support creating and embedded data science projects within the association's technology ecosystem.Partner with business leaders and D&A team members to identify and document use cases and articulate business requirements for data science projects.Identify, manage, and optimize the repeatable processes for data intake, munging, validation, and mining.Propose, create, validate, and manage appropriate Machine Learning (ML) models with high-value results that can be presented to our business partners for review and approval.Work with the IT application development teams to embed ML solutions into our externally facing applications.Present project status/results to stakeholders.Provide day to day supervision and oversight to junior project team members.What You Will Bring
10 years' experience with data science and advanced analytics with proven record for delivery of data-driven insights.5 years' experience with ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics.3 years' experience in a team leadership role.Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, math, statistics or related field.
Required Experience
Expertise in the appropriate use of a broad range of ML algorithms and AI technologies, preferably, using AWS SageMaker.Experience with various relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and data structures, and facile in data transformation and munging.Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills with demonstrated ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Remote Work Eligibility
This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US.
If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
