Executive DirectorMissionGenesys Works is a nonprofit organization that trains and employs high school seniors to perform professional services for major corporations. Our mission is to provide pathways to high school students' career success in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships.Position DescriptionThe position is responsible for leading Chicago's efforts to engage several of our largest corporate partnerships while also acquiring new corporate partnerships, increasing the number of paid internship positions placed by Genesys Works annually. This position requires a high level of initiative, an ability to manage senior-level relationships and secure contracts, and the ability to hold others accountable for various deliverables integral to the program's functioning.In partnership with the Executive Director, this position will support internship acquisition efforts and deepen our relationships with lapsed and new Corporate Partners.Key Areas of FocusBuild and deepen relationships with senior executives, budget owners, and decision-makers at existing and new Corporate Partners, developing a solid understanding of the Partner's talent strategy and objectives regarding diverse sources of middle-skilled talent.Leverage champions from our current partners and the Genesys Works Chicago Board to network and cultivate relationships with corporate leaders that result in new corporate partnerships.Present solutions to stakeholders and prospective partners to assist in the sales process.Specific ResponsibilitiesDevelop account plans, research prospects, secure introductions, and close new business representing $800k-900k in High School Internship renewals, $150k+ in post-graduate internships, and $350k+ in net new earned income.Work closely with our Program Team to learn from their interactions with Supervisors and department leads how the Partner's talent strategy is evolving and identify additional potential Supervisors through the current Supervisor's network, enabling incremental growth in internships.Execute on market and prospect research on new potential Corporate Partners relevant to the organization.Close business, which will include negotiating a master services agreement, executing a statement of work, securing a purchase order, and overseeing the completion of all administrative tasks associated with onboarding a new customer.Manage key relationships with new corporate partners for the first 12 months of engagement, and execute successful hand-offs as needed to account managers after the initial renewal cycle.Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategies for maintaining and/or increasing the number of internships within each Corporate Partner, shortening the sales cycle, and increasing closure rates.Work with the Chief of Staff and Business Operations Specialist to ensure accurate reporting of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), including corporate partner analytics and prospect management records.Acquire necessary details of internship information, including position description, engagement details, and billing information, working closely with the National Program and Operations team to ensure the completion of essential contractual requirements.In partnership with the Chief of Staff, develop, update, prepare, and execute presentation and marketing materials for corporate partnerships to drive renewals and acquisitions.Ensure that all payments from your corporate partners to Genesys Works are made promptly and assist in managing workplace issues as they arise.Qualifications5+ years' experience in sales or business development with a strong record of accomplishment of new account development and account growth.Experience selling human capital solutions (staffing, workforce development, etc.) or management services to corporate clients.Experience closing on opportunities with a revenue value of $100k+.Flexibility and willingness to travel within the city and adjacent communities.Experience tracking relevant KPIs (e.g., customer satisfaction), including a proven record of setting and achieving stretch goals and meeting ongoing performance metrics.Excellent project management skills and experience with complex programs, including strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.Prior experience delivering presentations to an Executive audience.Efficiency working with computers, databases, and Microsoft Office applications, as well as CRM such as Salesforce.com.Ability to work well under pressure, a strong sense of accountability, and attention to detail.Transferable job experience and client development skillsets preferred.
