Accelerate growth of Grid Management solutions and services leveraging Distributed Intelligence. Establish Itron as a leader in Grid Edge Solutions optimizing network capacity accelerating the integration of distributed energy resources, improving utilities grid reliability and outage management.Success Criteria include: Revenue growth and profitability of line of business and each product line (P/L Management). High value business outcome solution adoption. Recognized industry leadership in business applications and differentiation.The General Manager Product Management collaborates with Senior Executives and Contributors including Sales, Sales Enablement/ Tech Sales, R&D, Service Delivery / GMS, Networks BU, Marketing, External: Customers, partners and utility customers – all levels.Key Responsibilities

Growth and profitability for grid management services line of business. Services segment includes Outage, Grid Reliability, Transformer management, power quality and related analytics, optimization and control outcomes leveraging Distributed Intelligence.Includes growth of our Grid Edge Optimizer business including the solution strategy of Grid Edge infrastructure solutions working across business lines to extend Itron’s leadership in Distributed Intelligence.Also continue to grow established product lines such as SIQ, Operations Optimizer Grid Management.Line of business direction includes scope of all Product Management and Product Marketing deliverables for these product lines including:Line of business strategy, Market segmentation, Competitive Assessment, Business Cases, Roadmap. Whole product definition, GTM and positioning.Driving product portfolio adoption identifying customer opportunities, defining Go-to-market, align channel with solutions, collaborate with sales and marketing to close bookings.Support technology trade-off management through PLC and NPI process. Ensure product level margin (PE) and customer satisfaction through lifecycle.Application platform strategy, roadmap and execution resulting in industry leadership for utility information use cases, including but not limited to Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE) & Operations Optimizer (OO).Supports and delivers training of internal and external customers about products, services and roadmaps.Resolution of conflicting priorities between departments to achieve best case outcomes.Researches market landscape, product best practices. Develops competitive positioning, case studies, presentations and related collateral to position the Itron offering.Participates as spokesperson for the product line at Trade Shows and Conferences.Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Product Management in helping them understand our customer’s challenges, what they are spending money on and what Outcomes-related solutions can help solve their problems.Support analysis, development and support day-to-day partner strategy with Product Management, Partnerships, and Sales teams.Decisions that have significant bottom line and growth implications for the company.Business Forecast and Commercial risks and mitigations for product line and segment level.Coaching and mentoring of team.Support prioritization of portfolio and bundling operational support for Line of business.Required Skills

12+ years of experience developing businesses, building business cases, interacting with customers, doing product management, and/or developing strategic plans, P/L management experience.Is an expert in Product Management and demonstrates themselves as a role model in the discipline.Has a rare combination of Technical, business and market knowledge all wrapped into one: Utility Industry expertise, Business Analytics Apps Domain, Change Agent, sorting through high degrees of change.Demonstrating working knowledge in utility distribution planning, engineering and operations, familiar with ADMS, OMS, GIS and related OT systems and their use cases and available solutions.Experience in consultative selling, market/business development, understanding of utility difficulties and market opportunities, utility business case modeling.Strong systems-thinking - able to think deeply about business, regulatory, and technical issues and their interactions.Strong and flexible communication skills, able to communicate with both a technical and executive audience interchangeably.Self-starter, well organized, flexible, and motivated to grow a new line of business for Itron.Ability to manage projects, including cross-functional teams, to meet tight deadlines and through significant uncertainty.Must exercise judgment for business and technology risk management.Ability to drive internal and external alignment across diverse technical and commercial stakeholders, including C-level discussions.Top tier MBA (or equivalent education/experience) and undergraduate degree required and/or top tier management consulting company.Knowledge of utility/city business model, smart grid & IoT trends, and ability to learn technology quickly.Proven track record of developing and driving alignment for compelling strategies in fast changing, highly ambiguous environment establishing a baseline roadmap and then continuously adjusting with a market driven approach.Demonstrate experience in incubation of new business including prioritizing opportunities, assessment of go-to-market and sales models, and considering change and new approaches, business models, skills and processes and systems.Itron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
