TGRC are working with a leading IPP that has a large development pipeline of renewable energy projects looking to expand its project execution team.The Director of Procurement will lead and manage the procurement of critical equipment for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This role focuses on crafting and executing procurement strategies, securing reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of equipmentCore Responsibilities:

Oversee strategic procurement initiatives to support the development and construction of large-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for key wind, solar, and storage equipment.

Develop and implement contracting strategies for major equipment procurement, ensuring alignment with project objectives and risk profiles.

Contribute to both conceptual and detailed design processes.

Manage the entire RFP process to identify the most suitable suppliers for major equipment and services.

Act as the primary contact for the RFP bidding process, handling scheduling, Q&A sessions, response deadlines, proposal reviews, and supplier feedback.

Evaluate bids, qualify vendors based on criteria such as quality, cost, and contractual terms, and provide recommendations to senior management.

Collaborate closely with Development, Commercial, EPC, and Interconnection teams to ensure cohesive equipment selection.

Work with legal counsel to draft and manage equipment supply agreements, ensuring compliance with market standards and project requirements.

Oversee post-contract management to ensure all obligations are met on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Stay informed about renewable energy opportunities and industry trends in the U.S., particularly those affecting wind, solar, and BESS development.

Monitor and manage risks associated with the renewable energy equipment supply chain, developing effective mitigation strategies.

Keep up to date with technology advancements and cost projections for major wind, solar, and storage equipment.

Perform additional duties as required.

Travel as necessary, typically less than

15%.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience with a leading independent power producer (IPP), utility, or renewable energy developer.

Proven success in wind, solar, and renewable energy project development.

Extensive experience in sourcing and procuring major equipment for solar, wind, and energy storage projects.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize key tasks.

3 to 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, particularly in wind and solar projects.

Experience leading multiple power generation projects through the entire lifecycle is preferred.

Strong skills in process and project management.

Excellent commercial negotiation skills with a solid understanding of the legal aspects of major equipment supply contracts.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
