Job Description:

Sony Electronics has an excellent opportunity for a Channel Sales Account Manager – Cinematic Production within the Sony Professional Imaging Sales group. This role is comprised of selling as well as market development. The Channel Sales Account Manager for Cinematic Production will be responsible for managing National Cinematic Channel Partners. Job responsibilities include working with Channel partners to expand Sony’s Cinematic business across multiple segments including Production, Education, Corporate, Sports, and Faith. This person will liaise with regional account managers to ensure strong customer engagement at channel events. In addition, this role will require engaging directly with select universities with world-class Cinema Production programs, Production Companies, and Directors of Photography.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical and operational background in Sony’s Professional Imaging Cinematic cameras, be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, be a problem solver, and be able to successfully manage many initiatives at one time.

Qualifications:BS degree is required or equivalent.Must have 3-5 years related experience.Prior experience with developing and executing on sales to Higher Education accounts.Must have a broad business background, strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrated creativity in overcoming sales barriers.Must be able to make professional and compelling presentations; communicate effectively to large and small audiences; and have strong organization and time management skills.Must be able to build strong collaborative relationships.Frequently deal with and interpret ambiguity with diverse channel partners.Need to have a good understanding of how decisions impact dealers, markets, and overall Sony business.Responsibilities:Build and maintain relationships with key contacts within each channel partner – executive, sales, marketing, operations, service/technical support, and finance.Make decisions pertaining to business plans, Marketing Distribution Funds, product allocations, product launches, and dealer events.Communicate price changes, new product announcements, instant rebates, and Trade-In promotions with channel partners.Align with business planners on forecasting, creating pipelines, and managing leads in SalesForce.Execute management meetings with targeted accounts to drive demand generation activities to hit sales quota.Develop unique marketing plans tailored to each individual territory.50% travel required.Compensation:The anticipated base pay range for this position is $73,000 to $97,000. The actual base salary offered depends on various factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for a bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
