Ensures supported applications are functioning and available by minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.Provides technical expertise to stakeholders and end users ensuring continuous normal operations.Keeps abreast of current software and hardware technologies to enhance software development.Ensures that supported application services are highly available, reliable, and performant through monitoring and alerting.Provides supported application services towards preventing (pro-active) as well as troubleshooting and mitigating (re-active) service availability/performance issues.Develops moderately complex solutions to improve the ability to effectively monitor application services in a large-scale and complex environment.Provides moderately complex technical assistance for business operations and application development to ensure applications are running optimally in production, test, and development environments.Implements and maintains moderately complex SRE dashboards, bots, automation, and other solutions based on the current operational needs and current release changes.Works directly with users, such as technicians with federal agencies, to resolve third-party interfacing moderately complex system technical issues.Facilitates deployment and support of the full lifecycle of applications in the data center and Amazon Web Services.Identifies repetitive, manual, and scalable tasks and potentially automates them using scripting/programming languages or tools.Participates in new application and infrastructure designs and architectures meetings, sharing current operational standards and guidelines for large-scale distributed systems with a focus on operability.Serves as a technical resource to internal and external IT groups. May provide subject matter expertise for third-party products and utilities used to support enterprise-wide applications.Assists development staff in understanding the software products and any enhancements that are deployed.Consults with developers on moderately complex issues related to the impact of development on the infrastructure, works with system engineers and developers to define server configuration settings, leads the migration of code through staging environments to production, and provides assistance to software quality assurance technicians during system acceptance testing.Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Experience Required:

Intermediate Level in large scale web operations and web-based architectures, regulations, procedures, and practices of a specific discipline, transaction, batch, and file processing flows, and ability to perform independent research.Intermediate Level in logistical analysis, verbal communication, and written communication.Ability to work individually or as part of a team while building and maintaining professional relationships.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.On-call escalations for incident resolutions; programming languages and specialized technical abilities.
