Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Medical Surgical, Oncology, Telemetry, and Orthopedic Department as directed by nursing management. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies, and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.Minimum Qualifications
Education
Graduate of a professionally accredited nursing school required.BSN preferred.Experience
1 to 2 years inpatient Medical Surgical experience preferred.Licensure and/or Certification
Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.BLS healthcare provider required.Oncology certification preferred.Skills
Basic nursing skills.Communication skills.Assessment skills.Critical thinking skills.Organizational skills.Excellent customer service skills required.Computer skills.Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.Ability to maintain confidential information.
