Accounting Manager

Job DescriptionA non-profit organization based in Boca Raton, FL is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to become a key member of the team in a role that reports directly to the CFO! This position involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation, and participating in audit processes. They are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in accounting, specifically with a focus on AP/AR functions and strong organizational skills. $80,000 - $90,000 DOEResponsibilitiesOversee two direct reports, an AR and AP specialistResponsible for reporting salaries and overseeing balance sheet accounts related to ARProcess journal entries and conduct various financial reconciliationsEnsure readiness for audits and maintain consistent accuracy in financial recordsWork closely with the grants department and manage related accounting functionsParticipate in financial planning and budgeting processesRequirementsA minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on AP/AR functionsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferredProficiency in Excel and Financial Edge (ERP specific to nonprofit) is desiredPrevious experience in a nonprofit setting is a plusStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated leadership and team management skillsBenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision insurance401K with matchGenerous PTO + sick leave7 floating holidaysHybrid scheduleFlexible work culture
