Join our Environment and Health department as our new Managing Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleAs our new Managing Consultant, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing innovative and sustainable site solutions to an international client base. You will join the Site Solutions group in our Irvine or Los Angeles, CA office.Your key responsibilities will be:Management of investigation and remediation projects in various regulatory programs.Management of regulatory interactions.Remediation system design and implementation.Leading strategy for path to regulatory closure.Data analysis and report/presentation development.Deliverables tracking and budget management.Client management and business development activities.Coaching/mentoring and training of junior staff.Your new teamAs part of the team, you will be part of a creative group, filled with people who are really excited about solving clients’ problems and creating sustainable solutions for them. You will work with all levels of technical expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. While we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.Minimum requirement is B.S. or M.S. in geology, hydrogeology, or environmental engineering (or related engineering field).Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).10+ years of experience in environmental consulting.Expertise in analysis, cost estimation, and design of remediation investigations and mitigation and remediation approaches, including engineered systems to address soil, soil vapor and groundwater contamination.Experience in detailed design/implementation of in-situ remedial technologies that may include ISCO, ISCR, phytoremediation and/or bioremediation using various amendments, to address a variety of contaminants.Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, and Voluntary regulatory programs, and a track record in achieving regulatory closure of impacted sites with various regulatory agencies.Expertise in redevelopment of impacted properties and related concerns (e.g., vapor intrusion).Excellent project management, written, and client communication/management skills.Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to:Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible force constantly to move objects; must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, sit, push/pull, lift and grasp, worker may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions, extreme weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, gases or poor ventilation).Worker may be required to wear protective equipment, respirator and/or a HAZMAT suit.What we can offer youInteresting and diverse projectsThe opportunity to work with some of the best and brightest professionals in your fieldGenerous Paid Time OffExcellent health and retirement benefitsInvestment in your developmentLeaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership PrinciplesAppreciation for the unique person you areThe long-term thinking of a foundation-owned companyInspiration from colleagues, clients, and projectsReady to join us?Please submit your application.
