Working at UCare is being a part of a people powered team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of our members and communities.Location : Minneapolis, MNResponsible for understanding stakeholder needs and the business issues to be addressed as related to internal IT needs.Responsible for the discovery, analysis, and documentation of business requirements, and collaborate with project, IT, and business management to ensure business objectives are achieved.Translate information and research into non-technical language as necessary to effectively communicate across teams and stakeholders.Interact with Project Sponsors, Owners, Team Members, Vendors, and Subject Matter Experts to understand IT business problems that need to be solved.Gather documents and confirm business requirements.Analyze and decompose complex business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements.Fulfill the role of subject matter expert in functional requirement elicitation.Create informative, actionable, and repeatable requirements that are relevant.Create user stories and develop acceptance criteria when using Agile methodology.Translate business requirements to functional applications using the software development life cycle (SDLC) for projects in an Agile environment.Coordinate requirements and user stories with the QA analyst.Initiate and facilitate communication and meetings with business and IT stakeholders.Develop use cases as a key communication tool between the business and technical teams.Document current and future state assessments.Perform gap analysis and other documentation that will assist in the understanding of the business need.Make use of workflows, charts, and diagrams to more fully describe business issues.Use and promote defined UCare Business Analysts standards, documentation, software tools, and best practices to achieve business needs.Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for assigned UCare projects when needed.Assist business users with UAT documentation deliverable (UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Results, and UAT Defect Log).Prepare technical user manuals, system configurations documents, and other technical reports.Prepare user documentation when needed.Create and document mapping between source and target systems to support complex API Integrations that demonstrates how the APIs interact with each other.Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, data analysis, and testing.Utilize the following tools and technologies: Scrum Methodology, Agile, REST API, SQL, PL/SQL, Point, JIRA, Enterprise Implementations Framework, Azure DevOps, Jira Confluence, and SwaggerHub.Position allows working from home anywhere in the United States; HQ located at 500 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413.RequirementsThe position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field.The qualified candidate must have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience in an IT analyst position or closely related occupation.The qualified candidate must also have at least 1 year (12 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; (b) translating stakeholder requirements into tangible deliverables such as use cases and workflow/dataflow diagrams; (c) translating business requirements to functional applications using the software development life cycle (SDLC) for projects in an Agile environment; (d) creating and documenting mapping between source and target systems to support complex API integrations; (e) developing complex SQL queries for data extraction, data analysis, and testing and; (f) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Scrum Methodology, Agile, REST API, SQL, PL/SQL, Point, JIRA, Enterprise Implementations Framework, Azure DevOps, Jira Confluence, and SwaggerHub.All experience may be gained concurrently.THE UCARE DIFFERENCEThe UCare difference is our people power – employees actively working on the behalf of our members to get them access to the health care they need.
