Annual Salary Range

Shift Hours:

Position will require day shift hours.

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support Enterprise Transport Management (ETM) Engineering Change Proposal (ECPs) process. Experience with DISA JSP desired.

Essential Job Functions

Provide Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Management and Support

Analyze ECP requirements and develop a proposed technical solution that meets cost/schedule and ECP catalog requirements.

Develop and execute ECPs such as customer specific projects, system upgrades, Transport Network Modernization and Optimization, Systems Transitions and Technology refreshment projects.

Involved with the full ECP Execution process - project approach, project plans, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Work Breakdown structure (WBS), Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs), Circuit Installation Plans (CIPs) and supporting project design and planning documents and cost elements.

Involved with ECP completion and closeout process

Prepare ECP updates and deliverables as required

Basic Qualifications

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Equivalent; Masters Degree Preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

Active DOD Secret Clearance

Years of Experience:

5+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches

5+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks

2+ years as senior or lead engineer in planning, designing, and building software defined networks

3+ years DoD environment; experience with DISA JSP preferred.

Certification Requirements:

One nationally recognized certification for senior network administrators/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solution's routers and switches

IAT Level III in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification

Experience/Skill Requirement:

Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities

Configuring and installing various network devices and services

Monitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, capacity planning

Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols

Experience with network virtualization technologies

Experience with multi-tenant network architectures

Familiarity with a width variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors

Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events.
