NVIDIA's Autonomous Vehicles team is hiring a creative and experienced Senior Software Development Test Engineer to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution to the world. In this role, you will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV Software platform, while achieving or exceeding NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. What You Will Be Doing

As a senior software engineer, you will be building robust and scalable infrastructure, automation, and tooling that will enable us to test and validate our self-driving technology over millions of virtual miles. You will:Design, develop, and maintain software infrastructure and tooling for regression monitoring and measuring the behavior and performance of autonomous driving systems.Lead large initiatives across engineering, data science, test engineering, and release to build and improve tools that automate the testing process, enabling a culture of test-driven development across the company.Design and execute on testing strategies and tooling that improve pace and scale of test coverage.Contribute to improve the overall process and quality of products.Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem solving.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system-level issues that affect the performance and reliability of our simulation infrastructure.What We Need To See

BS (or equivalent experience), MS, or PhD in Engineering or Science field.6+ years of software engineering and data analysis experience, preferably in the field of simulation, autonomous systems, robotics, artificial intelligence or related areas.Proficiency in Python (highly preferred), C++ or similar high-level programming languages.Experience working with large datasets and SQL.Experience with source control like Git and Gerrit.Expert design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test-driven development.Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Demonstrated ability to perform in situations with high ambiguity and competing priorities.Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

Background with scaling the use of autonomous vehicles simulation frameworks.Experience with Bazel, Docker, Jenkins.Background with or knowledge of AI/ML systems, or a background in working with AI-native systems.Experience in large-scale simulation for hardware or software validation of any robotics solution.The base salary range is 176,000 USD - 414,000 USD.
