Our focus is on providing oversight and protection of the TikTok platform and user data in the U.S., so millions of Americans can continue turning to TikTok to learn something new, earn a living, express themselves creatively, or be entertained.About the team: Our Trust and Safety engineering team is responsible for building machine learning models and systems to identify and defend internet abuse and fraud on our platform. Our mission is to protect billions of users and publishers across the globe every day. We embrace the state-of-the-art machine learning technologies and scale them to detect and improve the tremendous amount of data generated on the platform.Responsibilities - What You'll Do
Play an important role in building the trust and safety machine learning modelWork on highly-scalable classifiers, predictive models and algorithms in big data mining, computer vision, NLP and other domainsWork with engineering teams to implement model pipeline and deploy the service at scaleCollaborate with product team to define objectives and improve trust and safety strategyCollaborate with data analyst to understand and find data patternsQualifications
This opening is for both junior level and mid level. Minimum requirement is a BS degree with 2+ years’ industrial experience, or a MS/PhD degree with 1+ years' relevant experienceHands-on experience in one or more of the areas: machine learning, deep learning, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, data mining, computer vision, NLP or content understandingGood programming skills in Python and similar languages, and a deep understanding of data structures and algorithmsGood communication and teamwork skills, be passionate about learning new techniques and taking on challenging problemsExperience in trust and safety is a plusTikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. For Pay TransparencyThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112065 - $259200 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
