Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for leading the most complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards, and policies. Key responsibilities include facilitating deployment of the most complex technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks, and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include consistently looking for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing the services, and influencing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Overview:The Senior Cryptographic Engineer will be responsible for leading design, implementation, and maintenance of critical key management systems used to protect sensitive data within the bank and on the cloud. This role involves leading work efforts from inception to lifecycle management i.e. secure generation, storage, distribution, and rotation of cryptographic keys in compliance with NIST, FIPS, and GDPR standards following all the best practices. Ability to develop detailed architectural diagrams to meet complex business/technical requirements.Responsibilities:Serves as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomesDevelops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes and contributes to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provides feedback to the architecture teamsTranslates business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policiesParticipates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domainsLeads the evaluation of reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purposeMentors and guides team members to ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standardsCreates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockersAbility to independently lead or manage small work efforts providing guidance to involved partiesAbility to interact with senior management and present, solicit feedback, and/or debate on subjects pertaining to the primary roleParticipates and provides feedback in the development of internal and external policies and proceduresIn-depth knowledge of AWS Security, Identity, and compliance suite of services i.e. Amazon Detective, Inspector, GuardDuty, Audit Manager, Certificate Manager, CloudHSM, Directory Service, FW Manager, AWS KMS, IAM, etc. and working knowledge of Azure Security i.e. Defender for Cloud, Application Gateway, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, etc. and their use with on-prem or cloud SaaS offeringsEnsure compliance with internal standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to key management. Participate in security audits and assessmentsAvailable to respond to security incidents involving the compromise or corruption of cryptographic key scenarios. Devise, implement, and document corrective actions to prevent future incidents. Familiarity with Incident and Problem Management systems like Remedy or ServiceNowMaintain comprehensive documentation of key management processes, configurations, and incident responsesConduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees on best practices in key management and cryptographic security. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to key management and cryptographic standardsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Cryptographic engineering and architecture experience that includes designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise scale solutions and security systemsOverarching broad and deep technical knowledge of cryptographic standards i.e. FIPS, NIST, and GDPRHands-on experience implementing security services on AWS, Azure, and/or GCPExtensive experience and advanced knowledge implementing key management systems i.e. HSMs and other hardware/software appliancesExtensive knowledge of KMS best practices, latest security threats/trends, and mitigation thereofAdvanced scripting experience and capabilities using Python, Perl, Java, and/or PowerShellStrong working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems and familiarity with DNS, networks, DMZs, firewalls, network security zones, and IPv6Deep, in-depth working knowledge of Kerberos and NTLM authentication, MFA, SSO, and federation technologiesExperience performing large scale security implementation, upgrades, migrations, transitions, and consolidation of IM and Cryptographic solutionsExperience and confidence to be the subject matter expert (SME) in an environment of this size and scale in order to coordinate technical efforts and resolve issues across multiple teamsWorking knowledge of Certificate/CA/PKI infrastructureExcellent communication skills, including proven experience effectively communicating technical challenges and solutions to peers, customers, and senior managementCryptography, Key Management dealing with HSMsThales CipherTrust Manager and Luna HSMsEncryption and key management tools, processes, and procedures including end-to-end key ceremony lifecycleGeneral understanding of Certificate Authorities and PKIAuthentication tools and servicesSecurity event and incident management systems and/or incident reporting systems and networksExperience developing scripts using Python, Jython, Java, shell scripts on Linux systems.Extensive experience using various technologies such as REST, WebApi, SQL, ORM, IoC, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, CI/CDExperience with LDAP queriesExperience implementing workflows and enterprise distributed applications with general understanding of databases and the ability to handcraft SQL queries when neededUnderstanding of software development patterns and best practicesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or relevant experienceDesired Qualifications:Certifications of Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) or AWS Certified Security SpecialtyThales CipherTrust Manager and Luna HSMsEncryption and key management tools, processes, and proceduresStrong scripting experienceKnowledge of managing network appliances in both form factors (hardware and virtual)Skills:AdaptabilityBusiness AcumenProduction SupportSolution DesignStakeholder ManagementAutomationInfluenceInnovative ThinkingSolution Delivery ProcessTechnical Strategy DevelopmentApplication DevelopmentArchitectureCollaborationProject ManagementResult OrientationShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week:40
