Do not attach a cover letter.Please click APPLY to submit your application via the City of Portland’s online portal.Position SummaryThis position will be responsible for overseeing the Audit and Accounting Division, which, along with the Tax Division and the Business Solutions Division, is one of the three components of the Revenue Division. The Audit and Accounting Division is comprised of the audit section, the budget and liens section, the accounting section, and the transient lodging tax/enhanced service district section. The position oversees the Revenue Division’s policy analyst and the IRS liaison/disclosure officer.As An Audit And Accounting Manager, You WillManage and direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of processes, systems, procedures, and goals as they relate to the Audit and Accounting Division functions.Plan, organize and manage the work of staff to achieve the established goals and performance objectives.Review and analyze pertinent statutes, regulations, ordinances, and policies for impact on programs and activities.Develop and establish performance requirements and personal development targets for staff.Collaborate with Revenue Division teams outside the audit section, including the Revenue Division's leadership and executive team, to develop vision, goals, and strategy for overall administration of revenue programs administered by the Revenue Division.Collaborate with Revenue Division management and pertinent staff to develop recommendations for changes and enhancements to code, regulation, and policy as needed for tax programs the Revenue Division administers.Manage state and local legislative efforts and Revenue Division-wide public records requests, confidentiality policies and personnel policies.Manage and monitor compliance with federal, state and local laws and policies.About the Bureau:The Bureau of Revenue and Financial Services (BRFS) plays a pivotal role in supporting the City of Portland's financial health and sustainability.
