Full-Stack Developer

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join the growing BioMADE Technology & Innovation team. This person will design and develop code implementation for BioMADE’s Digital Backbone that will support 200+ member organizations. Together with the rest of the Technology team, they will work to provide a unified computational infrastructure for bioproduction-centered collaboration across industry, academia, and the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate has a strong background developing full-stack web applications for mid- to large-scale data systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop web applications in a cloud-first development environment.Design and build user-friendly web UIs and supporting infrastructure.Work with team to refine user stories and translate into technical requirements.Create web front ends for data visualization across diverse datasets.Deploy code at regular intervals to maintain a development cycle responsive to user needs.Adhere to best practices to ensure a well-structured, reliable codebase.Create and update internal system documentation.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, or related discipline.4+ years of hands-on experience developing full-stack web applications in a commercial development environment.2+ years of experience developing data systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Fluent in Python and at least one scripting language (PHP, Pearl, Ruby, etc.)Fluent in at least one compiled language (C++, Java, etc.)Experience building web frontends in a modern frontend framework (Node, Angular, React).Comfortable working with relational databases and object-relational mapping.Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously with a small team of engineers.Familiar with collaborative git workflows.Comfortable working with Container based environment.
Desired Characteristics6+ years of experience developing software in a commercial development environment.4+ years of experience developing data systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience building enterprise data systems.Experience with full application lifecycle, including release, deployment, operations, and troubleshooting with external partners.Experience building connectors to standard analytical, data science, and BI tools (both internal and external).Experience building secure multi-tenant data and front-end systems.Comfortable with real-time computing paradigms and communication protocol.
