Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. In addition, Related Vocational Training plus a minimum of 5 years administrative or business experience, or a minimum 8 years of administrative or business experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Administrative Program Specialist. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Plans, coordinates, books, and tracks travel for travelers for both domestic and international locationsManages the procurement of material and the kitting of equipment for assembly via the Material Handling group; monitors PO delivery dates to meet program needsManages the packing and shipping of material domestically and internationally within the guidelines of export requirementsTracks material and equipment to include government property reporting as necessaryCoordinates catering for program/customer meetingsSchedule meetings for program activitiesCoordinates with Facilities/IT to meet the needs of program staffPotential to travel to both domestic and international work locations in support of program activitiesContributes to the development and implementation process of the company's products and servicesIdentifies issues, tracks progress, and follows through on corrective actionsIdentifies and quantifies risks and opportunities

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint to generate presentations as well as tracking and coordination spreadsheetsBe able to prioritize a wide variety of tasking from several disciplines on a daily basisMay provide work direction to other employeesBasic ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issuesFollows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtainedBuilds stable working relationships internallyAbility to communicate clearly, both written and verbalCreative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced proactive decision making skillsPREFERRED:
