AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.How you will create an impact Reporting to AIG’s Enterprise Systems CIO, the VP Finance IT Insurance Sub-ledger is responsible for the SAP insurance/re-insurance sub-ledger functions technology strategy, cross-business collaboration and transformation of the insurance technology portfolio capability, efficiency and system synergies.  This role functions as leader for the multiple insurance subledger including Collections & Disbursements, US GAAP Accounting, RI calculations, and IFRS17 regulations and works in collaboration with the business partners across finance, RI and regional teams.Responsibilities:Drives and oversees the insurance and finance sub-ledger technology strategy to enhance and build systems and services.Leads enterprise process reengineering efforts through: reviews and recommendations to help revitalize best practices and methodologies to support workflows and digitization.Provides a combination of technology foresight and financial expertise in support of client needs.Manages and operationalizes ‘big’ technology partnerships and procurement synergies.Operates  cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) to agreed standards, service levels and currency and set deliverables with business leaders for delivery.Defines IT strategy, architecture, reporting and monitoring through the full close processing, application, infrastructure and network needs.Serves as the key point of contact for all Insurance and Finance Subledger technology initiative and communications.What you'll need to succeedProven success leading enterprise-wide transformational change in a complex, global company.Strong SAP technology and insurance/RI acumen, and advanced change management and project management skills.Highly influential and ability to flex leadership style according to the situation, from hard-charging execution to influencing cultures requiring careful maneuvering.Extensive problem solving and root cause identification skills.Bachelors’ or advanced degree in technology fields; hands-on or extensive insurance subledger implementation experience.Minimally 15 years’ experience serving in a technology line of business within a matrixed, global financial services organization.Demonstrated experience in SAP FPSL, FSCD and/or FSRI and transformation initiatives.Experience in Sapiens Reinsurance Master is a plus.Demonstrated success partnering with multi-discipline senior executives in corporate functional areas, especially finance and their teams.Experience managing a high-performing team of technologists, and project professionals, including third party vendors.Recent successful experience leading a insurance or finance subledger implementation though significant change, growth, and innovation.Ability to travel occasionally to meet with regional business partners.Ready to prove your leadership skills? We would love to hear from you.For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $170,000-$195,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
