Data breaches threaten the security of financial, customer, employee and other proprietary data, and, at any time, a cyber-attack can disrupt a company’s operations.We have an exciting opportunity to lead the Large Accounts portfolio, AXA XL Cyber’s crown jewel portfolio. The individual will be responsible for the portfolio’s strategy, growth, and overall impact to the America’s Region Chief Underwriting Office.  You will lead the Large Accounts Underwriting team, servicing a large renewal book and be responsible for producing new business through exceptional underwriting practices.  You will represent yourself as a true Cyber leader, internally and externally, based on your extensive and unique knowledge and experience.  DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include?Responsible for owning the strategy for profitable growth with new business and renewal business within the customer segment to achieve profitable premium and rate goals, working with actuarial and claims, and successfully delivering results consistent with financial plan. Closely collaborate with the leadership team to develop products to drive Cyber growth.  Develop Pricing Models for the products, together with our Pricing ActuariesProvide input on the marketing strategy and partnership opportunities. Create and execute the annual business plan and strategy, ensuring consistency with agreed risk appetites. Responsible for underwriting profit and loss within the function, including revenue management on a gross and net level, and expense management. Ensure that appropriate underwriting governance is maintained through policies, procedures, reviews, audits, and training. Promote the professional growth of a diverse and engaged underwriting community, while planning effectively to maintain the organization’s business continuity goals.Manage underwriting teams to ensure operational efficiency around production and hit ratio reporting, retention ratios, production planning and tactical actions expected related to the established plans.Underwrite, manage, and service a cyber and technology renewal book and produce new business in accordance with business unit goals.Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk.Participate in roundtable discussions on risk assessment.Negotiate with producers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives.Maintain and generate new relationships with assigned brokers and clients to identify and establish new distribution relationships.Maintain expertise with the products, services, priorities, and target markets to more effectively enable clients to uncover hidden cyber risks.Promote the company's expertise by participating in industry conferences and events while regularly conducting and taking leadership roles in client and broker meetings to educate on evolving cyber risk.Embody the AXA XL culture and act as a role model for all colleagues, irrespective of organizational alignmentThis role reports to the Head of Cyber, US.QualificationsSHARE your talentWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Required Skills and Abilities:Extensive Cyber and Technology Underwriting, inclusive of Managerial experience, with an outstanding conceptual comprehension of data security, privacy, cyber and information risk.Must reside in a major industry hub around New York or Chicago.Ability to lead a team that will deliver the most efficient and best possible customer experience.Proven business acumen to engage colleagues in how the needs of our customers are met through our vision, strategy, and operational plans.  A leader who anticipates customer and market trends in order to position AXA XL as a responsible and innovative “market shaper” and Thought Leader in the industry.Consistently pursue opportunities to differentiate AXA XL in the industry through our offerings and how we conduct business.Ability to energize a team through a compelling vision of the business and for the future.A proven bold decision maker who can drive results in uncertain environments.An engaged leader who proactively challenges the status quo to create momentum and action for change.Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.Outstanding collaborative skills in a fast-paced team-centric environment.Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.The ability to travel a minimum of 40% of the time is anticipated.A bachelor’s degree is required.Continuing education or professional designations in insurance underwriting and information privacyFIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location.
