Director, Merchandising Womens Wholesale - Tommy Hilfiger
The Director of Wholesale Merchandising, Women’s, leads product strategy, assortment creation and evolution for the Women’s business. This role is responsible for the development of assortments and product strategies that balance brand vision, trend and business drives. This position leads the line planning process to achieve or exceed financial goals, partnering with management, Design, Product Development, Sales, Planning, Global and International teams, and the accounts to deliver results!
Responsibilities:
Lead North America license re-intergration of women’s businesses
Supervise North America Women’s merchandising strategy and regional communication to Global hub (600 styles and 1500 skus annually)
Develop short and long term product assortment strategies for the Wholesale channel that align with the Brand vision, financial plan and Customer Experience goals
Build the line architecture inclusive of SKU counts, SKU efficiency, differentiation and price tier that both supports financial targets and delivers cohesive experience for the consumer
Run all Global Women’s milestone meetings and seasonal calendar cycle to ensure strong execution of End to End process
Present seasonal kickoff strategies for the region and ensure cross-functional alignment on regional needs
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Global Merchandising to influence and ensure Regional product needs are met
Partner with leadership to influence Global Merchandising on key look selection
Prepare assortment roll-ups to ensure KPI’s are met and aligned to overall strategy and plan
Deliver and curate compelling product assortments that are brand improving and customer focused, inclusive of door recommends through climate, pricing and region
Curate a recommended assortment for the Channel to successfully implement in market
Plan, organize, and lead showroom set-up and line adoption
Analyze category performance and drive category strategies to enhance growth
Leverage data through selling, monthly hindsight and customer feedback to drive initial pricing strategy
Partner with CFT to build a 360 approach into product investments (Marketing, product presentation, store training, etc.)
Participate in key external customer touch points with Sales to ensure clear understanding of strategy, performance and product opportunities
Create Assortment Investment reviews to share cross-functionally for big idea alignment
Ensure team maintains strong connection to Sales and Planning teams to both plan future direction and to handle the business in-season
Lead monthly hindsight meetings and actively participate in appropriate Business Reviews
Visit critical markets as well as competition to stay abreast of market trends and apply takeaways to current and future assortments
Work with Consumer Insights team to request market research needs and analyze data reports
Cultivate effective communication with and solicit frequent feedback from the field teams through store visits, conference calls, and collaboration with the Director of Field Merchandising
Leads by example and operates optimally in the face of change and pressure
Provides leadership within the merchandising team by advising, focusing and motivating team members
Monitors development and performance of direct reports through regular meetings to discuss deadlines, expectations, performance and development
Continuously works towards innovation and improve our business and processes
Qualifications:
8+ years’ experience in related merchandising/buying
College degree; Business or Merchandising preferred
Strong analytical skills
Detail oriented
Proactive in anticipating the needs of dept
Financial analysis ability
Eye for product in terms of trend and market
Ability to work with Design, being conscious of profitability
Strong written and oral communication skills
The Director should be equipped with selling and trend information in order to make decisions on future product assortments. Able to support decisions with sales and competitive information in order to present to and gain confidence of management in the departmental strategies
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines. Detail oriented/innovative traits are necessary. Must be able to find the best solutions and develop methods to improve efficiency. Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and priorities

Pay Range:$135,000 - $145,000
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
