As an Account Executive, you will schedule demos with prospective customers, qualify opportunities, and close business under the guidance of Gem’s Head of Sales. You will also have the opportunity to grow accounts that you initially close by adding additional users and selling new products. We value an in-office culture with flexibility to help promote learning, camaraderie, and career growth.What you’ll do day-to-day:Research, identify, and engage high growth prospects to build and manage a sales pipelineProspect into warm and cold accounts to create new business opportunities with SMB companiesClose new SMB business with a high velocity including selling upmarket opportunitiesIdentify and close up-sell/cross-sell/expansion opportunitiesCustomer centric approach focused on building and maintaining value-driven relationships with key customers, from senior leaders to individual contributorsBring positive, team-first energy and help make Gem an exceptional place to workWork closely with SDR team and cross-functional partners to support your deal cyclesAbout you:You’re a curious listener with a clear verbal and written communication style. A strong understanding of business value and the ability to explain concepts in simple terms will help you excel in this role.Minimum 2-4 years of sales, renewal, and/or business development experience, with at least one year of closing experience.Demonstrated ability to generate sales pipeline and exceed sales targets in an inside sales settingWillingness to work in a true startup environment and take on new and unexpected challenges with positivity and creativityExceptionally organized and have experience leveraging Salesforce as a workflow acceleratorExperience selling software to startups or selling recruiting or HR technology solutions is preferred but not requiredGem is an equal opportunity employer.
