JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Harrisburg's Kulkarni Theatre seeks applications for part-time student personnel to assist with operations in the Kulkarni Theatre. This opening includes Event Technicians, Box Office and Front of House staff.

Event Technicians

will set up and operate audio, video, and lighting equipment for events in the Kulkarni Theatre. This opening will also support hybrid, virtual and high profile events on campus including other event spaces, and outdoors. Event technicians will also assist in the loading in and out of scenic elements and technical equipment for live performances in the theatre. This opening also supports facility projects and operations in the theatre.

Job DutiesDuties will include but not limited to:

Lighting set-up, focus, programming and operationAudio Production, System Set Up, MixingVideo Production, Broadcast/EditingBackstage managementEvent Set-up and break-downBasic CarpentryEvent/talent managementFacility OrganizationBox Office/Front of House staff

will provide front of house support for guests and patrons attending events at the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre. Staff will provide excellent customer service and support the performing arts operations manager to keep events orderly and on time.

Job DutiesDuties will include but not limited to:

Day-to-day selling of event tickets via computerized ticketing system in the box office.Data entry and accounting for ticket sales and records.Answering phone calls.Event support and general office/support duties to facilitate events.Managing the flow, assisting in seating, providing general information to patronsRequirements and Qualification

Should be able to regularly lift loads between 20lbs and 50lbs, with or without accommodation.This opening requires flexible hours, some nights and weekends. Scheduling is based on event calendar and tech needs.
