has been committed to building strong relationships with its members and providers to enable New Yorkers to live their healthiest life.Position OverviewUnder direct supervision of the Chief People Officer, the Labor Relations Associater is responsible for supporting the goals and objectives of the Plan and the daily management of the Labor Relation and Employee Relations activities and programs at MetroPlus Health .Job Description

Interprets contracts and agreements and Labor Relations Orders dealing with wages, hours, working conditions and all other matters within the purview of the agreement affecting labor relations, employee relations and personnel management activitiesMonitors adherence to objective performance standards set forth by departments across the organizationMonitors adherence to MetroPlusHealth and NYC H+H policies and proceduresAssists management in preparing, planning, and scheduling pre-disciplinary hearings (counselling sessions and warnings)Investigates and processes employee complaints to be handled at the corporate levelManages employee relations matter, including, but not limited to, investigation of complaints, preparing recommendations, advising management on performance management, dispute resolution, compensation, etc.Serve as Hearing Officer for grievances and disciplinary hearings handled at the corporate level and represents the corporation when appealed to City Office of Labor Relations and at arbitration hearingsPrepares progress reports, develops summaries, and reports status of Labor Relations and EmployeeRelations calendar, case activity, turnaround time, and departmental patterns, trends, and analysisMeets with Union representatives in Labor-Management meetings to discuss and seek resolution of issues.Maintains ongoing liaison with Union and Union RepresentativesMaintains liaison with Office of Labor Relations, office of Collective Bargaining and other City, State or Federal agencies relating to various labor relations mattersDevelops, implements, and communicates Human Resources policies, procedures and practices that are in concert with the health plan's goals and objectives.Trains and guides supervisors and managers in labor and employee relations matters.Manages MetroPlusHealth's Workplace Violence Prevention Program.Chairs MetroPlusHealth's Occupational Health and Safety Committee.Gathers and reports OSHA data to the State and all other regulatory agencies.Does legal research and presents in a coherent manner.Drafts overtime cap waivers, exceptions to policies and justifications.Completes all other tasks and projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

A JD or a Master's Degree from accredited college with a major in Labor Relations, Personnel Administration, Public Administration, Management, Economics, Law, or related field; and,4+ years of progressively responsible experience in the field of labor relations including negotiation and administration of agreements of labor relations mattersMust have Human Resources background1-2 years' experience conducting legal research preferredProfessional CompetenciesIntegrity and TrustCustomer FocusFunctional/Technical skillsWritten/Oral Communication#LI-Hybrid
