Within the marine engine and backup power generation sectors, we offer comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.

As the Director of Continuous Improvement and Quality, you will lead and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest level of quality across all aspects of the organization. Your role will involve developing and managing initiatives, processes, and standards that enhance operational efficiency, optimize performance, and elevate customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, establish quality benchmarks, and champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Compensation:

Salary range: $130k - $160k annuallyTravel Expectations: As needed, based on project and organizational requirementsPrimary (Essential) Duties:

Develop and Implement Continuous Improvement Strategies:

Lead the development and execution of the organization's continuous improvement roadmap and strategiesIdentify areas of improvement across various departments and processesEstablish goals, objectives, and performance metrics to track progress and measure successCollaborate with senior leadership to align improvement initiatives with overall business objectivesQuality Assurance and Compliance:

Establish and maintain quality management systems and standards across the organizationEnsure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practicesDevelop and implement quality control measures, including audits, inspections, and certificationsDrive the adoption of quality improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality ManagementSafety:

Drive and enhance safety culture by leading and teaching others about job safety and risk assessmentDevelop and implement safety measures, including audits, inspections, and certificationsPromote the use of safety methodologies, such as job safety analysis and personal protective equipmentProcess Optimization and Efficiency:

Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvementDevelop and implement process optimization strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costsLead cross-functional teams to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and improve overall efficiencyUtilize data-driven insights and analytics to identify opportunities for process enhancementsPerformance Monitoring and Reporting:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor safety, quality, and continuous improvement effortsDevelop reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on performance, progress, and outcomesPresent findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholdersCollaborate with teams to develop action plans based on performance data and drive improvement initiativesTraining and Change Management:

Provide leadership and guidance on change management processes related to safety, continuous improvement, and quality initiativesDevelop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in safety, quality management, and improvement methodologiesFoster a culture of continuous improvement through effective communication, education, and engagementRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven experience in leading continuous improvement and quality management initiativesStrong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and industry standardsExpertise in process optimization, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologiesStrong leadership, communication, and change management skillsAbility to analyze complex processes and data, and develop actionable insightsExperience with performance monitoring, reporting, and KPI developmentStrong organizational skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teamsEducation and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in continuous improvement and quality management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership positionCertifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality methodologies preferredProven track record of leading successful continuous improvement initiativesBenefits Include:
