We are the Apple Field Design Engineering Connectivity group specializing on different technologies such as GNSS, WiFi, BT & UWB, and we are looking for highly motivated engineers who will be evaluating these technologies in the latest iPhone, Apple Watch & iPad in the real world. This also includes focused experiments and real-world engineering analysis to improve overall end user experience. Come join our team!DescriptionYou will be involved in the evaluation of Apple products from the prototype stages to post release phase. Our team plays the central role in evaluation of the Wireless technologies such as GNSS / GPS / NFC / UWB / Wifi that helps to drive and improve the quality of future Apple products! You will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain experience in real time data collection, post processing, data analytics, project tracking and presenting to senior management. Responsibilities include:Developing and running test plan with focus on customer experienceIdentifying issues impacting HW/System performance and perform deep dive analysisGenerating system performance test reports with key performance indicatorsWorking with team members and 3rd party vendors spread across various time zonesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in an Engineering fieldUnderstanding of at least one of the wireless technologies: GNSS / GPS / WiFi / BT / UWB / NFC / CellularPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringGood knowledge in wireless communications and RF/OTA fundamentalsAble to work independently with strong multitasking skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to be a great partner across functional areasExcellent communication skills, both written & verbalExperience in MATLAB, Python, Tableau and/or ShellFamiliarity with test instruments such as RF Signal Generators, Spectrum analyzer etc.Understanding of probability and statistics to incorporate in every day tasksPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,832 and $205,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
