Most importantly, demonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.The Cloud Systems Architect works closely with the Cloud Systems Manager to build a holistic view of the Cloud Architecture for the firm. The focus of the position is to assist in the creation, endorsement, and utilization of the cloud architecture that guides the Firm through acquiring, building, modifying, and interfacing cloud resources throughout the organization. The Cloud Systems Architect supports the Cloud Systems Manager by creating architecture drawings, providing level 4 support, and managing Technical Projects. The Cloud Systems Architect provides expert-level technical design and thought-leadership of Azure assessment and implements engagement. The Cloud Systems Architect also provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the Cloud Systems Team. This position also acts as a liaison to the Business Services areas of the firm and cloud systems to align the systems design to the Firm’s strategic goals.How you’ll

in this Cloud Systems Architect role:Technical Project Manager:

Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to deadlines and within budget. Identifies necessary resources and coordinates efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Defines the project’s objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle.Cloud Systems Design:

Provides technical design for infrastructure architecture. Establishes connections to and from various cloud network types and manages firewalls. Designs and maintains key networking system security components, policies, and procedures. Conducts/leads technical interchange meetings with clients. Translates technical details and requirements from client meetings into requirements documents and proposal presentations.Architecture Design:

Plans, develops, and administers complex proof-of-concept and/or special projects related to cloud systems architecture operations. Provides oversight to ensure that the architecture defines and demonstrates the interoperability, scalability, and portability of applications and their sub-components to achieve optimum proficiency in all aspects of the enterprise systems and services infrastructure including: storage; servers; applications; databases; end-user experience; and the interaction/interconnectivity of each component. Assists with the development of architectural policies/procedures for use in conducting cloud system operations and analyzes their overall effectiveness to ensure best practices are incorporated to successfully meet the strategic goals of the Firm. Provides professional expertise to assist with/coordinate troubleshooting activities of cloud systems and related service problems to ensure overall needs of Firm’s systems are met effectively and efficiently.Client Relationship:

Works responsively and cooperatively with all Firm leadership and staff to assist in applying enterprise resources and related technologies to all areas of the Firm. Assists with the annual budget planning for Cloud Systems to provide the attainment of agreed upon strategic goals and objectives in a fiscally responsible manner. Prepares long-term impact, feasibility and cost/benefit analysis for new projects. Applies professional expertise and skills to review/evaluate vendor proposals submitted for the purchase of hardware, software, and technical services to determine adherence to architectural guidelines and specifications. Collaborates with the Cloud Systems Manager to develop short and long-range plans for cloud systems resources. Develops recommendations for administrative review/consideration that present effective planning strategies to improve overall cloud systems activities and provide guidance and consultation services as needed to assist in the implementation of those strategies. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal/external constituencies to promote the success of established short and long-term objectives and goals. Develop and maintain quality relationships with appropriate vendor technical resources.Professional Development:

Pursues professional development opportunities to advance knowledge and expertise in the area of enterprise architecture that can be incorporated into leadership and oversight responsibilities. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
