The candidate will be crucial in handling various aspects of labor law, providing legal advice, and representing management in NLRB proceedings.Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).Conduct research and draft legal documents.Represent management in NLRB elections.Provide legal advice to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreements.Negotiate and/or provide legal advice on collective bargaining agreements.Manage grievance, arbitration, and unfair labor practice proceedings.Advise employers on federal and California wage and hour issues, leave management, disability accommodation, and other workplace matters.Review handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state law.Review compensation, commission, and bonus plans.Conduct management training on labor relations, federal and California workplace issues, and harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned.Requirements:JD from an ABA-accredited law school.4-6 years of experience in litigation or advice work as an attorney.Traditional labor law experience is preferred.Experience in federal and/or California advice and counsel work is preferred.Understanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques is preferred.Skills:Excellent attention to detail.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
