Sanzaru Games is looking for a talented Senior Level Designer. Senior Level Designers will help assist in daily level workload as well as managing a small design tasking. As a Senior Level designer, you are responsible for assisting in identifying and creating a clear workflow and pipelines for the level design team. Senior Level Designers work closely with all disciplines to help ensure game levels have fun scenarios, are well-composed and navigable, and are well integrated into the game’s overarching narrative and vision. Sanzaru is looking for designers with the passion and talent for creating engaging worlds. We are big gamers at the studio and want to hire game developers with the same passion and fun for building games.Required Skills:

Identify workflow issues for clean fast team iterationHelp establish level design pipelines and help the team adhere to best practicesWork closely with leadership to ensure levels hit important narrative and game mechanics beatsLevel scripting and setup using script-based languages like UE4 blueprintDesign and establish a detailed level plan from paper to 3D block out and final art implementationCollaborate with Environment Artists to create a level’s feel and overall compositionWork with the level team to manage assets and data associated with each levelDevelop a thorough understanding of hardware limitations and how to design around themWork with systems designers and engineers on global game systems needed to support levelsGather and act on game test feedback with the aim of creating the best experience for all playersMinimum Qualifications:

8+ years of game industry experience working at Sr or Lead capacityExperience managing and mentoring designersExperience identifying design issues for level design and flowIntermediate knowledge of Maya or another major 3D modeling programExperience multi-tasking and adapting easily to changeExperience in shifting focus as neededExperience to be open to free form feedbackPreferred Qualifications:

Strong narrative and storytelling experienceWorking knowledge of Unreal & UnityPublic Compensation:

$137,000/year to $193,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
