PER DIEM RN - RADIOLOGY / CAT SCAN

Job Summary:George Washington University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Radiology / CAT Scan team. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of radiology services.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care before, during, and after radiology and CAT scan procedures.Administer medications and contrast agents as necessary.Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.Educate patients and their families about the procedure and post-procedure care.Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.Qualifications:Current RN license in the state of Washington, D.C.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in radiology, critical care, or emergency nursing.BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.Strong IV skills and experience with administering contrast agents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Flexibility to work per diem shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in radiology or CAT scan nursing.Advanced certification in Radiology Nursing (CRN) or equivalent.
