Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Merchandising, this position is responsible for managing the non-combustible nicotine (cigars, tobacco, vape and modern oral nicotine) categories and is responsible, in partnership with the Nicotine Procurement team, for the vendor relationships including developing strategies and negotiating national agreements. The position is also responsible for managing related programs around retail merchandising solutions and promotional activity developed to deliver relevant category sales growth within the Core-Mark customer base.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the Non-Combustible Nicotine team, including Category Manager and shared coordinator resource.Partner and strategize with the Vice President of Merchandise to drive increased sales and earned income.Directly negotiate and/or oversee the Category Manager negotiation of annual vendor agreements which optimizes business for Core-Mark and our customers.Proactively develop and present compelling strategies and tactics that drive category sales and grow share by utilizing fact-based insights.Facilitate and assist the onboarding of new vendors and the continuous management of current vendors with promotions, agreement changes, item creations, term changes, item transitions, billing inquiries and more.Collaborate across the company to drive business goals and increase same store sales and new store conversion (working with Corporate Marketing, Corporate Sales, and three OpCo Regions).Work closely with vendors to analyze data and extract meaningful and actionable insights.Develop, review and update corporate schematic programs for all assigned categories working with Retail Services team.Develop new and unique programs fit for the future of the convenience retail channel.Engage with customers on opportunities to grow center of store categories profitably.Desired Skills:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Highly motivated and proactive.Demonstrated leadership success in team-building and collaboration, forging relationships and working effectively across functions.Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects in order to meet deadlines.Excellent analytical and PC skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
