Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development, this role will provide critical financial and market analysis to support the planning, evaluation, and execution of real estate development projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of real estate development processes, and the ability to effectively communicate insights to guide strategic decision-making. Excellent quantitative abilities, investment writing and presentation preparation skills, a strong academic record, and a genuine passion for real estate development are essential.What You Will DoProject Analysis:

Evaluate and analyze potential development projects, including site feasibility, market conditions, and financial viability. Prepare detailed financial models and projections to support project decisions.

Market Research:

Conduct thorough market research to assess demand, competitive landscape, and economic trends. Provide insights into market opportunities and risks for potential development sites.

Financial Modeling:

Develop and maintain detailed and accurate financial models for office, medical-office, multifamily, retail, mixed-use, and horizontal real estate projects. Project cash flows, investment returns, and project profitability, and perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of various scenarios on project outcomes.

Reporting:

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, including project summaries, financial analyses, and market research findings. Clearly and effectively communicate complex data. Review and summarize leases, and conduct lease analyses, including Net Effective Rent (NER), development agreements, contracts, and Letters of Intent (LOIs).

Due Diligence:

Assist with due diligence processes, including reviewing property records, zoning regulations, environmental assessments, and financial statements. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with development projects.

Collaboration:

Work closely with development managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to support project planning and execution. Coordinate with external consultants and partners as needed.

About YouBachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a finance related field required.

3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate.

Demonstrates strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Advanced knowledge of Excel and ARGUS, including the capability to create and update complex financial models.

Exceptional skills in presenting investment information through written memos, presentations, and email. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate analysis results to senior team members and construct persuasive arguments to support findings.

Proven commitment to meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex data and analysis.
