Editorial Resource Coordinator

The Editorial Resource Coordinator will assist the Resource Manager with managing the allocation of projects and resources in the Editorial Department.RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate editorial resources across all departmentsAssist Resource Manager with day-to-day editorial assignments, covering all editorial scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed
Proactively monitor workloads of editors to ensure efficiency
Check in regularly with creative teams to plan ongoing editorial assignments and resolve scheduling challenges
Manage all editors’ daily schedules, assist with assessing and resolving resource needs and scheduling conflicts
Regularly monitor staffing needs, including sourcing freelance resources
Track and Guide Editor Workload
Check in daily (and as needed) with Editors to assess workloads and Editors’ general perception and approach to the creative work.
Track editorial progress across all projects, gathering information from multiple sources and keeping meticulous notes.
Time Sheets and Time Off Request ApprovalsServe as point of contact for timesheet questions from editors; process and approve weekly timesheets and resolve any timesheet issues with billing department.
Process and approve all editorial PTO requests
Obtain necessary approvals from producers whenever vacation times overlap or resources are limited.
Associate Editor Cross-Over Collaboration
Communicate with Producers and Senior Ops Director to project needs for Associate Editors, including dailies organization, feature assemblies, scene cutting and other miscellaneous editorial needs.Outcomes and Success CriteriaHighly efficient Editorial team with limited resource conflicts
Optimal pairing of Editors with ideal creative projects that challenge them creatively and keep them on an upward trajectory in terms of creativity and productivity.
Assist in maintaining high utilization of Editors
Maintain high quality of creative and technical standards

Must be proactive and take the lead on delegated projects and assignments.
Must be available to producers and coordinators as needed (and within reason) for urgent matters. This may require contact after business hours via phone and email.
REQUIREMENTSFamiliarity with post-production workflows and editorial work formats (Avid experience, ISIS knowledge)
Proficient knowledge of post-production needs of AV departments
Ability to work effectively with Float scheduling software and Excel
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Management experience working with Editors/Assistant Editors
Familiar with and passionate about our industry and creative work
