Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound imaging of patients' hearts, assisting physicians in diagnosing and assessing various heart conditions. Your expertise in echocardiography will play a critical role in providing accurate diagnostic information that directly impacts patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE) to assess heart functions, wall motion abnormalities, and abnormal valve velocities.Assist and perform Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) as needed.Conduct Stress Echo and Dobutamine Stress Echo tests to evaluate heart function under stress.Work closely with physicians to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.Maintain high standards of imaging quality and patient care, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.Keep accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
Qualifications:
Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program and/or certification by ARDMS or CCI.ARRT, ARDMS, or equivalent registration, or eligible for registration.Full State of New Mexico licensure required within one year of hire.Must maintain licensure and national certification/registry.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related field.One (1) year of experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
