Staff Accountant II

to join our accounting team. The accountant will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager to ensure that all accounting for the portfolio is performed accurately and timely. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Education/Certificates:Bachelor's degree in Accounting is requiredExperience:2+ years of relevant experience in accountingReal estate experience a plusAffordable Housing experience a plusYardi and Timberline experience a plusSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume team environmentMust be highly detailed, deadline oriented, and organizedEffective verbal and written communicationsAbility to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external business associates to promote positive professional working relationships and environmentsEssential Duties:Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to investors and lendersComplete monthly and year end closing proceduresPrepare monthly bank reconciliationsPrepare monthly account reconciliations and roll forward schedulesPrepare journal entriesPrepare audit work papers and provide supporting documentsPrepare monthly debt service for processingSelect invoices for paymentAssist in budget preparationAssist in processing of distributionsOther duties as assignedWhy consider us?Competitive Salary and Benefits Package.Careers are made at Fairfield- We are committed to developing our staff through our robust in-person, online and social training. $66,560.00 - $68,000.00This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary. This pay range is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
