Recognized both for our breadth of services and depth of expertise, PS&S is the single source for planning, permitting and design at the local, state, and federal levels.Position SummaryPS&S is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Technical Designer with experience in design of water and wastewater facilities with strong knowledge and background in treatment equipment and pumping systems. This engineer will be responsible for designing treatment and pumping facilities for water and wastewater projects and required to perform hydraulic evaluations and detailed facility design, perform feasibility studies and design reports, prepare plans and specifications, and assist with bid and construction phase services. This candidate would preferably work out of our Warren, NJ location; however, could work from any of our regional offices in NJ, or NY. This person would be a regional person and be expected to travel to all our offices based on the project and/or business need.Responsibilities

Will be responsible charge of managing the planning and design of diverse infrastructure projects in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance including QA/QC responsibility.Assist in the delivery of water and/or wastewater projects including evaluation and detailed design of water and wastewater treatment plants, supply wells, water reuse systems, distribution systems, conveyance, storage, and pipeline projects.Design of capital improvement projects.Preparing Preliminary Engineering Reports.Preparing plans, specifications, and estimates.Preparing master planning reports and hydraulic modeling.Successfully interfacing with multi-disciplinary design teams, including civil site design, structural, surveying, and geotechnical engineering.Participating in local professional organizations.Assisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs.Developing long-term relationships with clients.Assisting clients with permitting.Mentoring junior engineers.Presentations to governing boards, authorities, and trade associations.Work with local and state regulatory agencies for project permitting, funding, etc.Qualifications

Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.NJ PE License required.10+ years of engineering experience, consulting firm experience preferred.At least 5 years in the design of water and wastewater treatment plants, water storage facilities, sewage collection and conveyance, sludge facilities and water distribution infrastructure.The candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following:Water Supply TreatmentWater transmission, distribution, and storageWater chemistryWastewater processPump StationsWastewater treatmentWastewater conveyanceStrong self-motivation, time-management, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD a plus.Effective written and communication skills.Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.What We OfferWe will encourage you to grow and develop your career with us through our career mapping, ongoing training, and career development program.We foster an up-beat, creative, and fun environment.We give you the flexibility needed to do your best work with several work options including remote, hybrid and on-site.We offer competitive compensation along with an expansive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision benefits, life insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement and more.*The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000.
