We appreciate your interest in joining our team.Position DescriptionA Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for supporting the project management team. In addition to being able to handle all the responsibilities of a Project Coordinator, the PE will review, analyze, and help resolve construction-related issues and discrepancies with the architect/engineer, owner, subcontractors, and vendors. PEs will manage and organize all construction documentation including, but not limited to, submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes. A PE should achieve working knowledge of the development of bid packages, scopes of work, construction schedules, and site utilization programs.RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and policies.Coordinate the procurement of permits and inspections with local jurisdictions.Work closely with the project team in the development of bid packages, scopes of work, construction schedules, and site utilization programs.Develop, drive, and implement project goals as a core member of a dedicated team.Learn and use any/all applicable company software programs.Manage and maintain a detailed document submittal and request for information (RFI) processes.Work with the project team to expedite materials, deliveries, and equipment.Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to project status.Manage the project closeout and punch list process.Position RequirementsConstruction experience or experience in a similar field.College degree (Construction Management or Engineering preferred) and/or two years of similar service.Results-driven ability to effectively manage and follow up on multiple priorities.Be organized and team-oriented.Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate with management, staff, vendors, and clients.Commitment to quality and attention to detail.Proficient with industry-standard computer skills and software (MS Office, Excel & Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).The ability to learn and adapt quickly.Equal Opportunity EmployerBEAR Construction is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other status protected by law.
