Description

As a Wi-Fi team member, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Wi-Fi networking subsystem software across Apple products including iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. You will also work across software stacks (Frameworks and API, UI, OS services, and drivers) to maintain and productize features collaboratively with the hardware and software teams within Apple. You will be expected to own, drive, and execute the full software development cycle - from ideation, design, implementation, to testing and measuring the success of the features you develop. We want you to make intelligent compromises between several contradictory factors such as ease of use, performance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:Solid knowledge of data structures and their applicationsExperience developing software using C/C++, Objective-C, or SwiftStrong competence and experience in Layer 2, Layer 3 networking, QoSStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent analytical, programming, and debugging skillsThrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teams

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience of different LAN and WAN technologiesKnowledge of IEEE 802.11/Wi-Fi ProtocolsExperience developing software using embedded SDKs, frameworks, and/or BSPsLinux/Unix kernel networking stack knowledge and understanding of operating system fundamentalsSolid understanding of OO design principles and design patternsExperience with hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets (e.g., GDB, shell scripting, packet tracing with tcpdump, Wireshark)

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
