The Career Opportunity:The Financial Systems/Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s reporting and data management focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and automation. This role will create advanced reports in Adaptive Insights, manage dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI, and ensure data integrity across systems like NetSuite and UKG. The position is based in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week in office).

Areas of Accountability:

Adaptive Report Writing:

Design and maintain advanced reports within Adaptive Insights, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with business objectives.Source Data Expertise:

Serve as the subject matter expert on source data, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and availability for reporting and analysis.SQL Report Writing:

Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for various reporting needs, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data retrieval.Report Automation:

Automate routine reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce the potential for human error.Dashboarding (Tableau/PowerBI):

Design and manage interactive dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI that provide real-time insights into key business metrics.Data Integrity and Maintenance:

Monitor and maintain data integrity across all systems, implementing checks and audits to ensure ongoing data accuracy.Proactive Communication on Data Considerations:

Actively communicate potential data issues, considerations, and recommendations to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.NetSuite Reporting:

Understand, research, and customize reporting within NetSuite, tailoring it to meet the specific needs of the organization.UKG Reporting:

Understand, research, and customize reporting within UKG to support HR and payroll data analysis needs.

Competencies for Success:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field5-9 years of experience in systems and data managementPrior SaaS or relevant industry experience is requiredFamiliarity with various reporting & dashboarding tools (Tableau, PowerBI)Ability to recommend optimal tools & solutions based on context and audienceNetSuite experience (or similar ERP)Adaptive experience (or similar EPM)UKG experience (or similar HRIS)Salesforce and HubSpot experience (or similar CRM)Experience with report automation (SQL, R, Python, Alteryx, etc.)Understanding of financial modeling/financial statementsDesire to build, enhance, and take ownership of processes and reportingAbility to communicate effectivelyDesire to collaborate with business to ensure reporting is usefulAbility to proactively communicate and align on priorities with leadershipUnderstanding of operational KPIs related to SaaS businessesEmbraces change and flexibility

At PracticeTek we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills.
