AmTrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for a Technical Claims Specialist in our Worker's Compensation Department.Responsibilities
Provide technical oversight to emerging high-risk and/or complex workers compensation claims.Assume co-ownership for the outcomes on claims under oversight.Serve as the primary point of contact and business owner for critical national initiatives, with ownership for how those programs are performing and their results.Manage or participate as a SME in complex projects and initiatives for the WC line of business.Participate with senior leadership to develop and implement claim strategy.Participate with senior leadership to develop, implement, and train on new processes, technology, and metrics.Responsible for LOB reserve adequacy, audits, reporting, etc.Development of WC guidelines, policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.Identify and pursue ways to reduce inefficiencies in claim processes.Conduct training, drive initiatives, action planning, development planning, and process improvement within the region.Develop reports, evaluate trends, and drive outcomes within the region.Serve as subject matter expert for the claims group and assist in cross departmental projects and initiatives.Qualifications
CPCU, AIC designation, adjuster licensing program or other industry training programs a plus.7-10+ years of Workers Compensation claim handling experience.Ability to manage highly technical claim staff.Ability to mentor, train, and be a leader within the organization.Ability to provide claim oversight and direction on complex claim issues.Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.Knowledge source for adjusters.Ability to develop reports, metrics, and process improvement plans.Ability to independently manage multiple projects and project teams.Ability to provide claim oversight and direction to regional claim staff.What We Offer
