We are delighted to share with you the exciting retained Vice President of Finance search we are conducting for our long-time Client, Pierce Aluminum (www.piercealuminum.com). Based in Franklin, MA, our Client is a leading provider of aluminum products and services. Established in 1964, this family-owned business has evolved into a trusted industry name, specializing in the distribution, fabrication, and processing of aluminum materials. Pierce serves a diverse range of industries including aerospace, automotive, construction, and marine. Our Client is profitable with rock solid financial stability, no debt, and a strong balance sheet.
The Vice President of Finance can have a significant impact supporting the continued profitable growth and overall success of this highly regarded Organization. This professional will report directly to the new Chief Operating Officer, who has recently joined Pierce in conjunction with strategic succession planning. While most team members are long-time, highly loyal employees, this is an exciting time to join Pierce as the next generation of leaders are building for the future.
Key priorities include:
As the most senior finance officer, oversee the Finance and Accounting Department.Serve as a key business partner to the COO and executive leadership team.Lead and provide hands-on management of a team of five direct reports and approximately fifteen total team members.Seamlessly transition between high level management and strategic related finance and more tactical, transactional based accounting.
The successful candidate will bring:
At least ten years of hands-on, finance and accounting management level experience. This includes prior experience serving as the leading expert on all finance and accounting matters (or equivalent).Strong experience with QuickBooks and MS Excel preferred.Excellent team building and leadership skills with a hands-on, lead by example disposition.Strong management, project management, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.Prior experience within a manufacturing environment, with system conversions/implementations, and/or with acquisitions is a plus.Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
