We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our rapidly growing company. The CFO will play a critical role in the overall financial management of the company, including its financial reporting and transparency, and multiple corporate functions including operations, risk management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within the construction industry, with a proven ability to create financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.

Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to management and board of directors (financial performance, projections, and other special projects as required).

Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.

Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms’ performance.

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (payroll), and other corporate policies.

Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations.

Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance, and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.

Monitor and manage company’s cash flow, ensuring it aligns with operational requirements.

Develop and implement investment strategies, ensuring they align with company objectives and market trends.

Evaluate and manage business risks, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.

Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is required.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably within the construction industry.

Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Strong knowledge of financial data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

Experience with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and costing in the construction industry.

Exceptional knowledge of risk and financial management frameworks.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and financial software applications.

Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.

Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.

Proven negotiation skills in the financial markets.

Experience in working with legal counsel and auditors.
