Major Gifts OfficerHighly Regarded National NonprofitFlorida (Fully Remote)Salary: $90,000 to $105,000 per year, based on experienceTerrific Major Gifts Officer (MGO) position with a highly regarded national nonprofit. The MGO will be responsible for the full lifecycle of fundraising for major gifts of $10k and above primarily from individuals, with some family foundations as well. The role will manage a portfolio of approximately 125 major donors and prospects, with the assistance of a prospect research team. There will be a significant focus on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of existing and new donors including growing annual gifts to major gifts. Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of securing major gifts, coupled with strong relationship building skills and the ability to secure donor meetings. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience. This position is fully remote, and applicants should reside in the state of Florida.Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the full fundraising life cycle for a portfolio of major gifts donors and prospects, with the capacity to give $10k+Collaborate with the prospect development team to obtain new major gifts prospectsAssist in developing, managing, and supporting development strategies, campaigns, initiatives, and best practicesPartner with grants team members to create major gifts proposals and complete some foundation grants proposalsCreate and present fundraising reportsCollaborate with the marketing department to create fundraising collateralTravel within the region to meet with donors and prospectsQualifications:
5+ years of relevant fundraising experienceBachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plusDemonstrated track record of securing at least 5-figure gifts; 6-figure gifts a plusExcellent communication and relationship building skillsAbility to work in a highly collaborative organizationWillingness to travelSelf-motivated, entrepreneurial mindsetRaiser's Edge or similar experienceEqual opportunity employer.
