Thursday, August 15, 2024Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner is responsible for acting as the Human Resources partner at the Good Hope & 87th Street manufacturing locations. This role will provide an opportunity to be a strategic HR business partner to enhance the training, development, and culture of the manufacturing facility. This position is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Business Partner will also manage the HR Specialist.Essential Functions:Partners with operational leadership and their respective direct reports to define short- and long-term organization development initiatives (Culture, workforce planning, development, training, etc.).Serves as the HR subject matter expert to managers and employees and establishes HR as a credible and trustworthy resource.Provide guidance and leadership in employee relations, interpreting complex employment laws and policies and making recommendations for improvement.Act as Human Resources main point of contact for employees and management at Good Hope & 87th Street location.Partner with leaders to drive change initiatives throughout our manufacturing locations.Manage relationships with temporary help, including submittal of hours worked to the appropriate agencies, updating weekly listings, approving and coding invoices for payment, and providing temporary help worker orientation for office and/or manufacturing assignments as needed. Administer temporary help attendance and retention bonus program.Develop and analyze people-related metrics to understand trends and translate them into business solutions.Ensure HR is providing customer-oriented service to the business including talent management and organizational effectiveness.Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies.Manage Brivo security access card system, issue/cancel cards for regular/temporary employees, as well as contractors/vendors. Complete the twice-yearly access card verification process.Provide reporting of data/metrics to management accounting/operations as requested.Partner with supervisors and managers to recruit for manufacturing positions as needed.Other duties as assigned and needed.Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or Management related field.3+ years’ experience in Human Resources, specifically with employee relations; preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.Ability to multi-task, be flexible, adapt to changing requirements/deadlines/situations, and work non-standard hours as needed.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record along with adequate automobile insurance required.
