Chief Financial Officer - Gyms

Our client is looking for a CFO that will provide operational and strategic insight while leading and managing finance, accounting, and administration departments. The company is well positioned for increased profitability and is poised to grow both organically and through acquisitions with the leadership of the right CFO. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for high-level strategic leadership as well as performing hands-on operational activities such as day-to-day accounting matters, financial modeling, forecasting, project/product profitability analysis, payment terms, etc. Building a high-performance team, training and development are key aspects of the position.Responsibilities :Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiativesCreate processes and systems to support growthMonitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plansDevelop financial and tax strategiesManage the capital request and budgeting processesDevelop performance measures that support the company's strategic directionParticipate in key decisions as a member of the executive management teamMaintain in-depth relations with all members of the management teamManage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departmentsOversee the company's transaction processing systemsImplement operational best practicesSupervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitionsOversee the issuance of financial informationReport financial results to the executive management teamUnderstand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profileMonitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industryConstruct and monitor reliable control systemsEnsure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirementsEnsure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agenciesMaintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendationsMonitor cash balances and cash forecastsArrange for debt and equity financingMaintain banking relationshipsRepresent the company with investment bankers and investorsRequirements :Bachelor's Degree Required (Master's Degree Preferred)CPA highly desired10+ Years of Experience in an executive level finance/accounting role within the fitness, massage, health & wellness, waxing industry
