Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.Manager - Power & Utilities: Energy Optimization – Tech ConsultingThe role of an Energy Optimization Manager will be to provide consulting services to Power & Utilities clients implementing Digital Grid Programs, capabilities and systems (AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS) resulting in increased value and efficiency.Your key responsibilitiesProvide functional and/or technical experience and insightsProvide strategic and tactical insights, connectedness and responsiveness to all clients to help anticipate their needsLead/manage workstream planning and deliveryDesign and facilitate client meetings and workshopsIdentify and implement service delivery improvements to progress the quality of the service provided and/or the process efficiencyIdentify and resolve/escalate issues and risks that affect scope, quality, schedule and resourcesDevelop and deliver status updates and communicationsManage resource demand, staffing and allocationDefine team member roles and expectationsLead/manage quality assurance for team’s work products and service delivery to consistently deliver high qualityUse technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance client service deliveryStay current with the latest trends in the industry to be a trusted advisor/subject-matter resource for our clients’ businessesParticipate in new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutionsDevelop long-term relationships with networks both internally and externallyEnhance the EY brand through strong relationships across a network of existing and future clientsMentor, coach and counsel team members and help EY to build an inclusive culture and develop high-performing teamsSupport the EY inclusiveness cultureFlexibility and willingness to manage significant travelMust have a valid driver’s licenseSkills and attributes for successStrong written and verbal communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues at all levelsAbility to challenge and inspire coworkers and clients to think about difficult situations in new and transformative waysUse of existing knowledge and experience to provide innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadershipWillingness to improve operational efficiency on projects and internal initiativesAbility to drive projects to completion with the highest quality, regardless of team size or individual responsibilitiesAbility to anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate to both internal and client leadershipAbility to create a positive learning cultureDedication to be coached by higher levels and provide coaching and counsel to junior team members to help them developTo qualify for the role you must haveProven business or technical work experience in one or more of the following digital grid focus areas: AMI, ADMS, OMS, SCADA, DRMS, DERMS, EMS, GIS, Network ModelingBachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of related work experience or a graduate degree and four years of related work experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsExperience leading teamsFlexibility and willingness to manage significant travelMust have a valid driver’s licenseIdeally, you’ll also haveExperience working with vendor software associated with above focus areas including (Itron, L+G, Schneider Electric, ABB, GE, OSI, CYME, PSCAD, PSS/E)Experience with business developmentExperience providing coaching and feedback to junior team membersWhat we look forWe’re interested in passionate leaders with strong vision and a desire to stay on top of trends for their area of focus and specific skills and knowledge to contribute to our clients and teams. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300.
