Our integrated technologies model offers turnkey scale and biotechnological capabilities to power genetic medicines processes, programs, and companies to their full potential.The Role:The Associate I, Microbiology is responsible for performing routine activities in the QC microbiology laboratory at our Waltham facility. This role will help establish the microbiology function at ElevateBio, including but not limited to laboratory/clean room start-up and qualification, development of the environmental monitoring program and contamination and control strategies, and execution of routine QC microbiology assays. Experience with rapid microbiological techniques is a plus.Here’s What You’ll Do:Perform routine environmental monitoring and safety testing of viral vector and cell and gene therapy drug products, ensuring that all work is carried out per cGMPs and applicable policies and procedures.Perform standard QC microbiological assays, such as bioburden, endotoxin, and TOC/Conductivity assays.Report and review results from other QC Microbiology personnel.Perform routine QC Microbiology testing.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (Biology/Chemistry/Microbiology/Engineering or related field) with 0-2 years of experience in a GMP Quality Control microbiology lab setting.Ability to communicate and work independently with scientific/technical personnel.Knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and quality system processes a plus.Excellent organizational skills.Experience in cell and gene therapy manufacturing environment a plus.
