Priority1 is a growing technology and logistics company that is searching for a Director of Sales to develop, create, and lead a new market segment of our business. This position will oversee the Knoxville TN & Greenville SC Office. Priority1 itself is a full-service 3rd Party Logistics provider. This is a great opportunity for a goal-oriented sales leader to transform our business from a logistics company into a technology-focused company to capitalize on the growth potential of our business.

The Director of Sales will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Sales – Prentice O’Guinn and will be responsible for the continued development of our training material, deployment of CRM, and development of a sales team to go to market. This leader should be highly competitive, goal and task oriented, and have excellent organization and management skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Recruiting, Training and Developing Sales Reps and Sales ManagersHelp develop a high-performance sales teamTrain, mentor, and coach staffProvide Organization and Leadership to the Sales ChannelsDevelop business telephone, e-mail or face-to-face meetingsDevelop and present formal presentations using PowerPoint and web presentation materialsFormulate pricing strategies with the general managerClosing contracts with new clients or existing clienteleMeet and exceed goals for new businessManage a full P&L for your organization

Requirements:

1 year of logistics and sales management experience preferred.Advanced CRM proficiency required.Ability to recognize a good P1 opportunityEntrepreneurial spirit and drive are needed to work effectively within a young and growing company.A manager who leads by example and has a successful track record of hiring, training, developing and inspiring teams.Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with the interpersonal skills needed in a fast paced, team centered environment.A truly hands on individual who enjoys being part of a team environment, working well within one and is solution driven.Ability to work independently, knowing what needs to be done and able to effectively make that happen.Ability to partner and communicate with the Home Office to refine systems and implement best practices.General business and financial acumenA strong desire to operate and grow a businessA proven track record of recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and effectively managing a diverse, hourly and salaried workforce.
