About the Opportunity
Mendaera is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the procurement process and sourcing strategies for the company. The Supply Chain Manager will lead order planning and procurement of raw components and finished goods. They will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations and finalize contracts with suppliers that are in line with the company’s objectives and in the best interest of the company. The strategic sourcing manager will onboard new suppliers and conduct supplier audits and monitoring. The annual salary range for this role is $114,000-174,000.
About You
We are looking for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace ambiguity, can create frameworks and work-products from scratch, are able to level between micro and macro analysis, possess critical and system thinking ability, and are detail oriented.
Responsibilities include:
Procure components to ensure optimal inventory levels to meet production requirements.
Engage with existing suppliers to achieve reduction in COGS to realize cost targets for product releases.
Identify and engage new suppliers to further improve COGS and ensure a robust supply chain.
Work cross-functionally to negotiate and implement MSA and quality agreements with suppliers.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure components conform to quality and inspection criteria.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure continuous delivery, quality, and price commitments.
Perform initial audits and ongoing monitoring of suppliers.
Ensure legal & regulatory compliance and compliance with company policies in all sourcing & procurement activities.
May require some travel to visit suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Desired skills and experience:
BS in business, supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or equivalent experience.
Min 8 years related work experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain with a good understanding of specified functional areas.
Experience with forecasting/planning, ERP systems, and strong Excel skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work with a wide variety of people, with different skill sets and backgrounds.
Working knowledge of design control and cGMP requirements for medical device manufacturing per FDA QSR and ISO13485-2003 or ISO9001 and EN46001.
