Registered Nurse for the Oncology Clinic at Inova Alexandria Schar Cancer Institute - Mark Center. This is a PRN role.

The Alexandria location, conveniently located one mile from Alexandria Hospital at the Mark Center, is an outpatient physician and infusion clinic whose team members work closely and expertly with our medical oncologists and advanced practitioners to serve patients with a variety of cancers and hematologic conditions.

The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinics are closed for the seven recognized Inova holidays and there are no on-call requirements.

RN Oncology experience highly preferred.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner. Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education, is of vital importance. Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines is required. Your ability to determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology, and other healthcare team member collaboration is essential.

Requirements

At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.BSN or AD (If RN has an AD, Complete BSN within 5 years of start date).Accredited School of nursing.BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
